FARMINGTON,Utah – (ABC 4 News) - Thanks to a big team effort, a baby boy was delivered safely by his dad, at their home in Kaysville this morning.
Dana Justice was the Dispatch Operator who answered the 911 call at 6 AM and heard a young boy.
"Probably 8 or 9 years old," Dana explained.
That little boy was the new baby’s big brother, who then had to translate English to Spanish.
"There was a language barrier, so he was relaying the information that I was telling him, to his dad, to help mom out," said Dana.
Dana told me it was good the boy called when he did.
"As soon as he called me, it wasn't but two or three minutes later and the baby was there," said Dana.
Deputy Sheriff and Paramedic Scott Harper arrived on scene quickly and found a very happy father, and proud big brother.
"For a boy of that age, to be woken up and wonder what's going on and calling 911, he did a phenomenal job, in such a short amount of time," said Scott.
Mom and baby were taken to McKay-Dee's Hospital in Ogden, and are doing well.
