West Valley City, UT (ABC 4 News) - West Valley City police officers and firefighters wrapped thousands of donated gifts for Giving Tree recipients.
This year, volunteers wrapped gifts for 179 children from 59 West Valley City families. Each child receives approximately 14 gifts (clothing items and several "want" items) bringing the estimated total to more than 2,500 gifts to be wrapped.
Last year, more than 120 volunteers wrapped non-stop for four hours, using 600 gift boxes, 200 rolls of wrapping paper and 200 rolls of tape.
