SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - Snow packed road across the valley made conditions treacherous for drivers Friday morning.

“They’re awful, I’ve been stuck once this morning,” said Jody Gentrey. “Trying to get around sucks.”

Traffic slowed to a crawl on Interstates 15, 80 and 215. In Salt Lake and Utah counties there were over 100 accidents on the roads before noon, according to UHP. Ten accidents caused injuries.

“I think everybody is being very cautious I wish more people would put their lights on especially when you can’t see with the blowing,” said Becky Holtan.

The storm dubbed “Gandolf” by the Weather Service dumped the most over Davis and Weber counties closing schools and county offices for the day.
