WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (ABC 4 News) - Neighbors were awoken Sunday morning when a man fired a handgun multiple times at a West Valley apartment building.

Police were dispatched around 8 a.m. to 1915 W. 3300 South on a report of shots being fired, said Sgt. Paul Gill of the West Valley Police Department.

According to witnesses a man approached the four-plex trying to locate an individual. When he wasn't able to find the person, he fired shots at the structure and walked away.

Though families with children live in the building, there were no injuries reported, Gill said.
