Child killed in sleigh riding accident in Sanpete County

Sanpete County, UT (ABC 4 News) - Tragically a child was killed in a sleigh riding accident in Fairview Canyon Saturday.

The boy was sleigh riding with his family. Several members had already come down the hill, when the 6 year old boy was coming down the hill fast and struck a tree.

The family rushed to help him and took him to Sanpete Valley Hospital. He suffered serious head trauma and died of his injuries at the hospital.

The Sanpete County Sheriff's Office isn't releasing any information at the request of the family.
