OGDEN, Utah. (ABC 4 News)- A body found on Mt. Ogden Peak Tuesday was identified as missing Weber State University student, Juan Pablo Brant.
Brant, a 27-year-old, was reported missing by his roommates to the campus police after they had not seen him for 10 days. He was last seen on January 4th at the Wells Fargo Bank at 4301 Harrison Blvd. in Ogden.
Police launched an investigation, looking for clues as to his whereabouts. Brant had been known to leave his home for large amounts of time. He was also known to spend time hiking and exploring trail heads near WSU’s campus.
There was no indication of foul play and no sign of suspicious activity in regards to his disappearance.
On Tuesday, January 22, the Snow Basin Ski Patrol came across a body near the peak of Mt. Ogden in Weber County.
Helicopters from AirMed and Utah Department of Public Safety were used to help the Weber County Sheriff’s Office in collecting the body.
The Utah State Medical Examiner’s Office identified the body as that of Brant, Friday. The cause of death is unknown.
Police are still investigating what led to Brant’s death.
