SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - Some young entrepreneurs in Utah got quite the surprise Wednesday on ABC 4's Good Things Utah: the chance to meet their idol the Bachelorette’s Jef Holm who was once in their shoes not long ago.
Holm is one of Utah’s home-grown celebrities—becoming famous after his appearance on ABC’s The Bachelorette.
But Holm's real passion is People Water, a company he started that builds wells around the world. Now he has become is an inspiration for others.
“People Water kind of gave us the idea we liked how their whole company is based around helping and service to other people,” said Cody Booth when being interviewed about his new company on Good Things. Three of the state's newest entrepreneurs talked about Holm and People Water as their inspiration when starting their company Hero Clothing.
They never expected what happened next… Holm surprised them live on air. “What's up guys hey I found this cool company I wanted to say what’s up,” said Holm to them.
These 20 and 21 year-old guys from Pleasant Grove couldn't wait to tell Holm about the company he inspired.
“It's like People Water is doing all this amazing stuff for people building wells and stuff and we're like we should do something like that,” said Chace Anderson, one of the creators of Hero Clothing.
Like People Water, Hero Clothing sells merchandise and donates proceeds to causes around the world.
“Our main goal is to give everyone a chance that we had because we've been so blessed our whole lives, we've grown up with everything we could ever want,” said Kyle Larsen, one of the creators of Hero Clothing.
“That is really rewarding, it's like the coolest feeling ever to know that other people want to give back because when we first started people water that's what it was all about we wanted to start something that people wanted to get involved in,” said Holm.
After the show the guys got a one-on-one to pick Holm's brain about how he was able to make People Water a success.
