Jared Gomez was on the show giving us quick fixes for covering up your grey roots and masking re-growth between your visits to the salon. He suggests:

-First and foremost: be up front with your colorist about the possibility that you may have to do a "home job" due to circumstance! That way they'll know what they're working with on you next visit. Don't make this a habit.

-Only brunettes and and grey haired clients or clients with lighter re-growth are allowed to do home color kits! NO blondes or red heads should EVER attempt coloring their own hair (just ask someone who HAS!)

-Only attempt to color your hairline, part and the crown. Leave the rest to a Pro.

-Don't attempt to match the shade perfectly--a shade lighter is better than a shade darker in any colorist's book.

-Tinted hair powders to mask regrowth! Whether you're needing to lighten or darken your roots, these products are safe, easy and commitment free!

-Try "zig-zag" parting your hair, so your roots aren't as noticeable.
