Today is officially the last day of Summer and it's time to pack up the beach bag for the year and undo Summer skin damage. Samantha Solomon, a laser specialist from Life Time Fitness' MediSpa was here to show us how to turn back the clock back to a fresh Fall face.

Key Tips:

Replenish Moisture: Heat, saltwater and chlorine can strip your skin of moisture. To rehydrate skin, use a gentle exfoliate in the shower in rough patches and lather up with a moisturizing body wash.

Clear Pores: Daily sunscreen applications can leave pores clogged. To unblock pores, start with a gentle exfoliating cleanser and apply a mask with salicylic acid which helps break down blackheads.

Fight Sun Spots: Freckling is a sign of sun damage to the dermis, the layer just beneath the skin's surface. To fade UV-induced splotches, try products with kojic acid or licorice extract. Remember to wear sunscreen everyday to avoid further damage.

Even Out Texture: The sun’s rays can break down collagen, which results in fine lines and dullness. The fix is to plump up wrinkles and restore radiance with antioxidants. Treatments or products with coffeeberry are especially effective. Slough off dead skin cells with a exfoliant containing papaya enzymes or lactic acid to reveal glowing skin.

VISUALS: Samantha will speak to and demonstrate the above tips. As time allows, she will be prepared to demonstrate the HydraFacial or photo skin analysis that shows damage that may not be at the skins’ surface yet.
