She's graced both sides of the red carpet, and this time, Tanika Ray is taking her skills to your house!!
The HGTV host has fallen in love with several stores in the valley and she's ready to dish on her faves and what she's taking home with her!
Retro Rose
This is my greatest vintage store find in Salt Lake City Utah...You will spend hours searching the shelves floors and ceilings for lil special finds that will color your space with flavor..From beautiful crystal vases and decanters of every color of the rainbow..modern, vintage &funky to unique lighting...charming antique scarves and bedding and plates from every decade and style. This is a quick way to add a special shine to your space...
Anyone can go to a box store and buy a lamp that you are sure to see in all your friends houses but sift thru the finds at Retro Rose and you are sure to find a one of a kind conversation starter that illuminates your room in the most beautiful way..
Carmen Miranda
Store filled with jewelry and purses
I fell in love with this store mostly in part because it's namesake Carmen Miranda has such a passion and love for every piece in her store. She knows it's history and backstory which just makes the pieces come to life. Outside of experiencing a feast for your eyes you will get a lil history lesson too. There were amazing pieces like antique brooches that I would use them for curtain tiebacks or napkin holders.
Blooms & Co.
The second Cortney Novogratz and I stepped into this store looking for flowers to grace her design for HGTVd we fell in love with how Brynn Larsen designed her store. She had a faux painted wall behind her that rocked my world. I actually took a picture of it as inspiration. Fauxing is back as long as you get the right person to do it and the contrast of colors is low. I was also inspired not only by her beautiful floral creations but by the way in which she styled her earrings and necklaces. She used an antique birdcage in the most precious way- displaying her earrings... I also loved the way she utilized a beautiful branch that you could find in your backyard. It's cleaned then hung horizontally from the ceiling with hooks. It's a great way to display your necklaces and scarves and even purses..
