Life Tie: Look good. Be Good.

While in college at Columbia University, Sevan lost his mom to breast cancer. He started wearing a pink tie to work every friday, instead of dressing causally. In solidarity, his co-workers started also wearing pink ties. Soon the event called "Pink Tie Fridays" spread to his entire floor and then to his entire office building. All of the founders have lost loved ones to the disease and wanted to do something to help increase the pace of research and prevention of cancer.

Life Tie uses 25% of each purchase to fund cancer research and prevention programs. $580B was spent on christmas gifts last year. Imagine if 25% was used to fund cancer research. If 25% of all gifts this year were contributed to cancer research we would raise$145 billion. We see a future where all companies give back more. To help prevent almost 500,000 cancer deaths a year and solve a host of other social issues. Cancer kills 1900 Utah residents per year, second leading cause of death. By attacking cancer at its core, research suggests that we can drastically impact all of the top causes of death across the US.

Life Tie is unique because of the direct involvement and partnership with cancer researchers, institutions and charities. It sounds like a crazy idea right, giving away most of your profit to researchers and non-profit organizations? But Life Tie started with one pink tie and has grown to include a full line of ties and scarves for men and women. we've sold hundreds of ties and given thousands of dollars to support cancer research and prevention. And this is just the beginning. The products allow consumers to play a part in developing important healthcare initiatives and directly funding research. Something that is hard to do for an individual. We fund the best organizations out there as well as cutting edge research project.
