Ads on Toilet Paper: Totally Smart or Absolutely Gross?

If it seems like ads are on everything these days, that's because they are. Um, even on toilet paper.

The brainchild of two entrepreneurs, Star Toilet Paper prints ads and coupons onto TP in the hopes that you will look before you, er, wipe. Betting on the fact they have a captive audience for their ads, the company sells ad space on its environmentally-conscious toilet paper (it's 100 percent recycled and printed with non-abrasive, soybean-based ink): $99 for 20,000 ads. What's especially surprising is that the concept of ads on TP isn't entirely new (did you know that)? Another company has been selling space since 2001.

I think the most confusing part of this idea--to me--is this: how on earth do you make use of the coupons and deals on the toilet paper? Maybe my logic button isn't pressed so well today (entirely possible), but...? Otherwise: entrepreneurism, yay!  For more watch The Daily Dish!
