When it comes to travel this summer, there are several hotspots that travel experts are listing as the places to be. Number one this year is Las Vegas. Sin City took the top spot from Orlando this year, according to data compiled by Orbitz. And it's the least expensive of the top 10 with an average room rate of just $95 per night.
New York City has also enjoyed a major jump in popularity, going from number six in 2011 to number two for summer 2012. But a trip to New York City isn't going to be cheap. With an average room rate of $226 per night, it's the priciest city on the top 10 list.
